Urgent: Family Seeks Help in Locating Missing UNILAG Final-Year Student

The family of 21-year-old Olusola James, a final-year student at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), is desperately seeking the public’s help in locating him after he mysteriously went missing earlier this month.

According to his sister, Joy Olusola, James has been missing since May 9, 2025, and all attempts to trace his whereabouts have so far proven unsuccessful.

“He left campus that morning and took a ride heading toward the Idumota area of Lagos. That was the last time anyone saw or heard from him,” Joy told LIB. “We’ve done everything we can — it’s been 24 days now, and the silence is heartbreaking. We still don’t know what happened or where he could be.”

Joy expressed frustration over the lack of progress from authorities. “The police have been slow with the investigation, and we really need the public’s help. If anyone has seen him or knows anything, please speak up. Every piece of information could make a difference.”

Olusola James is a 400-level student and was reportedly in good spirits before his sudden disappearance. His family fears something may have gone wrong and is urging anyone who might have seen him or has any information to come forward immediately.

If you have any useful leads or information about Olusola’s whereabouts, please contact:

The family is also calling on the general public and the online community to help share James' photo and story widely to increase the chances of locating him.
