Scottie Scheffler Set to Compete in 2025 Scottish Open
World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler has confirmed his participation in the upcoming Scottish Open, scheduled to take place from 10–13 July at The Renaissance Club in East Lothian.
Scheffler, fresh off a successful title defense at the Memorial Tournament, joins a star-studded lineup that includes the top five players in the global rankings—making it one of the most competitive Scottish Opens to date.
The tournament, held just a week before The Open Championship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland, will serve as a key warm-up event for many of golf’s elite.
The 28-year-old American returns to East Lothian after finishing tied for third at the same venue in 2023. Speaking on his return, Scheffler expressed excitement about the competition:
"It’s an event and a course I enjoy playing, especially since we only get to play links golf a few times a year."
His participation adds even more prestige to a tournament already packed with talent and seen as a critical lead-up to one of golf’s major championships.
