APC stalwart Jesutega Onokpasa slams Tinubu, warns of possible one-term presidency

Jesutega Onokpasa, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), delivered a scathing critique of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, declaring that the President has “failed woefully” and may struggle to secure a second term. Once a staunch defender of Tinubu—famously advocating for measures like fuel subsidy removal and naira devaluation on national television—Onokpasa now accuses the administration of neglecting its promises to the Nigerian people.

He highlights the worsening hunger crisis, asserting, “You cannot pretend there’s no hunger… When Bola Tinubu called us to support him, he promised to make food cheap […] Only for him to come to power and only God understands what he is doing. I am certainly not supporting him for 2027”.
