A surprising twist unfolded in Kabba town, Kogi State, as local vigilantes arrested a carpenter accused of stealing a goat, stirring reactions among residents of the Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.

📅 The arrest took place on Friday, according to the State Vigilante Service, who also apprehended a woman suspected of buying stolen goats from the same man. The alleged crime has sparked concern about a growing trend of livestock theft in the area.

🔍 Authorities revealed that another suspect—believed to be part of the same operation—is currently on the run. Security operatives are on his trail as the investigation intensifies.

💬 Speaking on the incident, Barrister Zacchaeus Dare Michael, Chairman of the Kabba/Bunu LGA, assured the public that all suspects involved will be prosecuted accordingly once investigations are concluded.

“No matter how minor the crime may seem, stealing is stealing. The law must take its course,” he stated.
